The international business law firm Clifford Chance advised Carrefour aio as part of its project to create a company dedicated to shopping malls adjoining hypermarkets in Europe.
This company would include 172 shopping centers, including 127 in France, Spain and Italy that would be acquired from Klépierre for a value of 2 billion and 45 in France that would be contributed by Carrefour for a value of 0.7 billion euros .dropoff window
The creation of this company would be funded to the tune of 1.8 billion euros in equity, 42% owned by Carrefour and the rest by a group of institutional investors, and 900 million euros debt.
The transaction, aio subject to final agreement between the parties and approval by the appropriate aio regulatory authorities, will be subject to consultation with employee representatives and expected to close in the first half of 2014.
