Belinda Bauer is an extreme ingles talent
When I read Belinda Bauer's debut book Dark Earth, I was in a trance and very few books remain in my consciousness in the same way as it did. Sequel shadow side was not as strong but it was at least well enough that I could not wait until Bauer's third book Finders Keepers would come out in the Swedish translation.
Children are kidnapped from cars while their parents are busy elsewhere. On each occasion, the perpetrator leaves a note in which he proclaims that the parents do not love their children. Reynolds and Rice are perplexed because the kidnapper is so shaped that the only traces he leaves behind is a few small, green fibers of unknown ingles origin and smashed car windows in case a dog has been left alone ...
Jonas Holly, who has been off from work since his wife Lucy died, comes back into service when his psychologist gives him the green light. Reynolds is anything ingles but delighted and he let him take care of skitgörat. When Holly comes up with a theory Reynolds dismisses it as too improbable, and then spend it no more thought. Not until both Steven Lamb Jonas Holly disappears and is in kidnapparens chlorine ...
I'm always happy when I returned to meet characters I like. Steven Lamb made a huge impression on me in the dark earth, and given what he has been through, I want so desperately to that life will be kind to him. The Finders Keepers look bright at first, but tell the happiness that lasts forever?
I find it difficult to decide what I think about Jonas Holly and I guess it is mainly Steven Lam's thoughts that have colored me here. I so want to like Holly considering everything he's been through, but given what I was told in the shadow side, I can not help but wonder if Steven is right when it comes to him. Uncertainty tickles however nice and saying, "you should not judge a book by its cover" applies in many ways, both in Hollywood and the plot in general.
Finders Keepers is a thrilling detective story that highlights what a man is capable of when the madness seizes her. A good advice is that you equip yourself with a packet of handkerchiefs for sometimes it gets so sentimental and unreal that it's hard to keep your nerves inside the body.
