NEW: Only Feminist Initiative promises equality up and top of the agenda, writes submitter, about why they needed to start a new party.
Hilde Sandvik call it barely one week old party Feminist Initiative (FI) a pink panther hunting, jobnet and ask why "venstresidefeministane not rather sturgeon under Socialist Left Party instead."
Let us first establish the Hilde Sandvik also know: Feminists are not only on the left side of Norwegian politics. Feminism today has many facets. It also demonstrates the candidates standing for municipal and county elections for FI. Our candidates are women and men, French and Sunnmøre, students, workers and pensioners. Some have experience from politics and feminist, others have previously been members of the Red, Left and SV.
We have different knowledge and different matters of the heart. From norm criticism in schools to fight against violence against women - we are all feminists, anti-racists and ready to take the step into the room where the power is collected. We stand firmly on a feminist platform and will sift all policies through an equality filter - from transport and urban development to health and welfare.
FI will challenge and support. Not only SV, but all parties. We do not take a step to the right or to the left - but a step forward. Swedish FI stated jobnet that they gladly take gender equality and liberal, green and socialist feminists. It seems we are a good starting point.
We'll talk about feminism and the need for a more equal Bergen and Hordaland. We go to choice in a safe and accessible city. SV gets to use his powers to talk about SV their policies. We call ourselves both feminist parties, but only FI promises equality up and top of the agenda.
Now people in the Bergen opportunity to select a block independent pink party. A party that does not have equality jobnet as one of several issues jobnet on the block, but a party equality as actual case.
We rely on the support and we are addicted to acquire knowledge - fast. For a party that has fair representation as a pillar must diversity be more than a buzzword. We will not speak on behalf of, but with the voice of those who are discriminated against - on the basis of gender, gender identity, age, functional ability, sexual orientation, creed, color, ethnicity or nationality.
We in FI is going to be completely exhausted when the campaign is over. We are feminist underdogs (or was it cheetahs?) With absolutely everything to win. FI will color the Bergen pink! Read also:
