Courser is a fantastic page on which the great world universities make available free of charge to anyone's e-learning courses. Just sign up (preferably under his real name, because if you successfully complete a course ku will receive a certificate in the name given at registration) and you can start studying - perhaps at Stanford.
Practically it works is that if you sign up for the course in time (ie before the beginning) and you regularly read tutorials ku / watch training videos, meet the ongoing tasks / tests to complete, you will receive at the end of the course (for several weeks, ku usually as a regular semester ) that certificate (and especially to learn of the pile). Subscribe but of course you can later (ie, during the course) and you still have access to all information. So you can try a course now!
On the courses are divided into categories, and although most technically sound much, just read the teacher Required skills and accurately determine ku whether the course is suitable for you (plus it can always just try - nothing, ku then you do not need to repeat the next semester ;)) If you do not know where to start, try the category of Social Sciences ku and Humanities - courses are not so many, and most do not require any special knowledge.
What are you most looking forward to me? Course The University of Edinburgh called E-learning and Digital Cultures, which begins at the end of January ku next year and I look about him leading ku a lively discussion on Twitter (hashtag # edcmooc) https://www.coursera.org/course/ edc. The course will last five weeks and will deal with representations of e-learning in popular culture. He said we (my students) much to write, create, and share. But again - everyone can participate only as much as you want (if not its main purpose certificate).
