Van Oord recently won together with joint venture partner Sovcomflot, the RusPrix Award 2013. The project included the installation of a 160,000-tonne concrete foundations for an offshore platform off the coast of Russia's Sakhalin Island. The positioning of such a platform requires great accuracy. Van Oord trained with members of the installation team at the simulator center of the STC-Group in Rotterdam.
