UCAS stands for ‘Universities and College admissions service’, and is the British organisation that processes all Undergraduate applications to UK colleges and universities. So who needs to use UCAS?
All students, including International students that are planning on studying an Undergraduate programme at a UK college or University will need to have their application processed through UCAS. So how does UCAS work?
Once the student or agent is registered they can submit up to five choices for the student. These five choices can be for one course mrs but at five different universities or five different courses mrs at one university. Or if the agent they are using is registered as a UCAS centre the agent can apply through the UCAS website, BUT only if they are a registered UCAS centre!
Applications must be submitted by middle of January of the year the student would like to begin their chosen course. Unless the student is applying for a medical degree in which case the application needs to be submitted by October 15 th . How much does it cost to submit the application to UCAS?
